About This Location
Certain procedures require short-term post-acute care in an outpatient setting at the Terrebonne General Outpatient Pavilion. Our goal is to provide patients high-quality, professional service and maintain high standards for patient safety, convenience, and comfort. We do this by providing detailed instructions on all procedures to help the patient and their loved ones prepare to transition to the comfort of home following their surgical procedure.
Our experienced staff is knowledgeable in all aspects of outpatient care and includes specially trained registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. These professionals all receive ongoing ambulatory care education, and the hospital and support staff are immediately available to meet any of your additional needs.
The Outpatient Pavilion meets the requirements set forth by insurance companies, HMOs, and government agencies for procedures performed on an outpatient basis.
We Offer Convenience & Comfort
The Outpatient Pavilion has an efficient, convenient pre-admissions process. Appointment times are available to go through your pre-admit process. All required assessments are covered at one convenient location, which is especially helpful for patients on the day of their surgery, so they don’t need to arrive early unnecessarily.
We know how important family is to patient care, so we invite patients’ loved ones to the Outpatient Pavilion Family Waiting Area and two (2) family members are allowed to stay with the patient. The waiting area staff keeps patient comfort and privacy in mind at all times, which is why our facility has private patient areas separated from other patient areas.
The Outpatient Pavilion is conveniently located on Belanger St. with a covered patient drop off area at the front entrance to the Pavilion.
We Inform You Before & After Surgery
We have a tried-and-true process to prepare patients for what to expect before, during, and after their operation:
- Before each procedure, each patient meets with our staff either in person or through a phone call to get detailed information about their anticipated procedure, perform required pre-operative preparations, answer patient questions, and clarify any of their concerns.
- On your day of surgery, a nurse will do a physical assessment and any other additional pre-op preparations before you will be taken into the operating room for surgery. After surgery, you will return to the Outpatient Pavilion as soon and safely as possible, and preparations begin for your return home.
- After you return home, a nurse will call within the week to check on you and how you are healing while clarifying any recovery questions.
We Offer a Wide Variety of Services
From endoscopic to general surgeries, the Outpatient Pavilion is a full-service healthcare entity that encompasses both pre- and post-operative care. Our experienced surgeons perform many types of operations in surgical suites equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
