About Dr. Prejean

Dr. Shane Prejean is a Cardiologist at Terrebonne General Health System and Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in Houma, Louisiana. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography.

Dr. Prejean has a clinical focus on general cardiology, interventional cardiology, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and transcatheter valve therapies. He is a part of the CIS Structural Heart Programs in Houma and Baton Rouge, working closely with cardiovascular surgeons as part of the comprehensive heart team.

Dr. Prejean performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary stent implantation, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), the MitraClip procedure, PFO closure, ASD closure, paravalvular leak closure, and transcatheter therapies for management of pulmonary embolism.
